Overview of Website Version 2.1
Ari│Dec 23, 2023
Design Gala Version 2.1 is now available across the website! Here's a look at everything that we have added in this update. This will be our last major update for 2023.
Profiles
Profiles have returned, in reimagined ways. Combining user works pages and our credits section, profile pages contain contributions and information for every team member of the website. And now it is front and center in the top navigation. Coming in an update next month, team members will be able to customize their profile page, as well as write blogs and announcements.
Museum
With user works out of the way, the Museum page has been completely rethought. It now houses individual works, such as Nature and Today's Sky, instead of just being located in a user's work page. This makes better use of the page and gets works to the eyes of more people.
Wallpapers Page
The page has been completely reorganized, now categorized in alphabetical order, rather than by the content it holds. A label is now included citing whether or not it has tablet wallpapers. The Archive has also been relocated here.
About
Our About page has been completely redesigned, with a new, more comfortable layout. It also comes with more facts and information than before.
General UI
We are focusing away from harsher UI elements like bold text and dividers, and instead are focusing on thinner text and space, as you can see in this newly designed article. This style of article will not be supported to articles written August 2023 or older.
You will also notice less traditional style buttons, where we are now fully embracing using images as the button. No need for repetition in where you can click.
Quick Read Articles
Some articles don't need to be lengthy like this, and they don't really need a full page. To make information more accessible to you, we have created Quick Read articles. Already available on the Newsroom page, you can tell a Quick Read article through its downward arrow button below its image.
